Istrek
Time tracking and invoicing for the Mac. Agents write the timesheet as drafts; nothing counts until you approve it.
# This one's still compiling. Stay tuned.

Time tracking and invoicing, on your Mac
Istrek is a native Mac app for time tracking and invoicing, with a small server behind it. You track your hours, approve them, and turn what you approved into reports and invoices. The server keeps the ledger of what has been paid.
Agents write drafts, you decide what counts
An agent that worked with you knows what the session was about. Over MCP it can write your timesheet as drafts, during a session or after it, and propose corrections to entries you have already approved. Everything waits in Review until you accept or reject it. Nothing counts until you approve it, and an agent cannot approve time, issue an invoice or record a payment.
Tracking
Start a timer from the app, from the menu bar or with a global shortcut, and add afterwards what you forgot. Time entries show as a list, a day timeline or a week view with totals per day and per project. The app keeps a local cache, so it works without a connection and sends your changes when the server is back.
Invoices, credit notes and a payment ledger
A draft invoice changes as often as you like. Issuing it gives it a number and freezes it. Full or partial payments are entered against the invoice, and its status follows the balance: unpaid, partially paid, paid or overdue. A mistake in an issued invoice is corrected with a credit note in a number series of its own. Recurring schedules prepare drafts on their day, and issuing stays your decision.
Reports and eight document designs
Pick a period and get a report as a PDF, with sections and charts, then turn it into an invoice. Invoices, credit notes and reports are set from one design. Start from one of eight designs and use the design studio to change the type, colours, blocks and wording while you watch the page change.
Moving in, and moving out
Import your history from Toggl, Clockify or Harvest. You can also export the whole account as a ZIP, and invoices as PDF or as ISDOC e-invoices.
Two ways to run it
Hosted. Sign up at istrek.souris.cloud. The hosted plan costs 9 EUR a month or 90 EUR a year, and starts with a 14-day trial.
Self-hosted. Run the server yourself on a Linux machine, free of charge. The self-hosting guide takes you through it, and the server downloads are on the releases page.
Availability
The server and its web pages are available now. The Mac app comes with the first signed release and will appear on the same releases page. It needs macOS 14 or later.
Licence
Istrek is free to use and is not open source. You may run it for yourself or your business. You may not redistribute it.
